Posting Through It is a weekly podcast that covers political topics relevant to news, media, and technology. It is hosted by Jared Holt and Michael Edison Hayden, who draw on their shared experience as investigative reporters covering the Radical Right to offer listeners a source of unique analysis and insight about current political events. Episodes also feature in-depth conversations with guests. The show re-launched in January 2025. It was previously called “SH!TPOST.”

Jared Holt is senior researcher of US hate and extremist movements who scrutinizes the overlap between technology and politics. His writing has appeared in national outlets including The Washington Post, MSNBC, The Daily Beast, Columbia Journalism Review, HuffPost and GEN Magazine. Holt currently works at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue. He has previously worked at The Atlantic Council’s DFRLab, Right Wing Watch, and Media Matters for America. He is based in Chicago.
Michael Edison Hayden is a journalist and analyst focused on right wing populism in the U.S. He served for five years as a Sr. Investigative Reporter and Spokesperson at Southern Poverty Law Center and has written for publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and ABC News, among many others. Michael’s first book “Strange People on the Hill” will be published through Bold Type Books/Hachette in early 2026. He is launching a new Substack, Extreme Measures.
